A Distinct Identity
A Teacher Inspired Me is a nonprofit corporation designed solely to assist teachers make student loan payments. Created in 2023, the founder realized that student loans were impacting teachers in many ways. Continuing education is expected to maintain licensure. Paying for classes is expensive and oftentimes, not possible on a teacher's salary. Once the loans accumulate, the teacher struggles to pay regular monthly bills in addition to the loan payment.
Student loans appear on teacher's credit, which impacts debt-to-income. Because of this, qualifying for a house or any other loan is challenging.
